Happy Birthday, Keith Hamilton Cobb! (and the poem-calendar)

Post by Lea » Sun Jan 27, 2008 12:43 pm

Keith will have a birthday soon!

Happy Birthday, Keith!

Here is the poem-calendar we sent to Keith: http://www.dconsortium.org/KHC/Calendar ... ndex08.htm

Thank you to everybody for creating the calendar pages and to Diane for making the homepage!

Best wishes,
Lea.

Thank you Lea, thank you D, and thank all the others who made this calendar come true!

@ Mare
The quotation on the cover perfectly describes our relationship with the addressee ...
Well, you busy biologist, I thought you areas of expertise were insects and algae, but this lovely photograph and the fitting quotation shows you are well schooled with flowers and with Shakespeare, too.

@ Roz
The photograph and the quotation suit Keith's birthday page wonderfully. The street connotes the path of life, and you connected that with the aspects of life and of acting.

@ Karen
Your poems are impressing. They have just the right Shakespearean tone and evoke Shakepearean thought-images.

@ D
Thank you for a laugh! The theme of this calendar produced rather profound artwork. You remind us that life also consists of wittiness - which the Bard never forgot, too.

@ Jun
Sharing your national traditions enriches this calendar. I think turning warfare into an art like the Japanese did is amazing ... and it seems Nietzschean, too.

@ Lea
There is an excellent accord between the tides of the sea and the tides of life in your quotation and your photograph (is that the Baltic sea?).
And I like your May-quotation ... although I never imagined Cupid's bow THAT large.

@ Shione
There you found a fair antique illustration! Naturally Othello would be a pertinent role for Keith - although I would rather not want it to be just type-casting, because he can measure up to every role. It's a shame "ethnic" actors still undergo so many restrictions.

@ Karin
What a great idea to join that quotation and that picture! Nice dogs btw, they really look like having fun.

@ JaneMaple
This a an ingenoius quotation. And it comes with a lovely photograph.

Once again you have outdone yourselves ladies, BRAVO!!!!! :thanx: :thanx:
The whole Calendar works wonderfully as always, and --contrary to someone's belief that Keith doesn't really get to see them-- I'm positive that not only he does, but that he appreciates the effort and love all of you have put into making it - you rock!!!!!! :worship:

Also, in case you lurk around here;
Happy Birthday Keith.
May your special day be filled with laughter, health, prosperity, joy and the warm embrace of the ones you love. Have a great one Big Guy!!!!!

Wow, ladies, awesome pics!
Lea, could I possibly get a copy of the final version of the calendar files to print out for myself?

Thank you C for your glowing commentary.

I guess I haven't said it yet today anywhere on line, so.
Happy Birthday (((((((Pooky Bear)))))))

The original December-page in the calendar which was sent to Keith, contained authors' real names. The December-page in homepage is with authors board-names. I didn't have time to add the dates also to the internet-version of the Dec.-page and I thought that people are actually interested in pictures not dates. Anyway, now I have up-loaded (to my album) the internet-version of the December page with dates too.
I mentioned that when D. asked first time, but as I was too busy to add the dates I was also too busy to explain why I haven't done it :P
Post by Roslyn » Wed Aug 27, 2008 1:15 am

Hi all, Roz here. Issues with my computer , so I just got a chance to see the calendars. THEY ARE WONDERFUL! I just HAVE to show them off to my fellow co-workers.

Take Care.
