Japan won!

Post by mare_serenitatis » Sun Jul 17, 2011 9:48 pm

Congratulations to the Japanese soccer team! Well done, ladies! (1:1 after regular playing time, finally 3:2 after penalty shots)
And congrats to the US for having a player like Ms Wambach who was the first to congratulate their opponents (and I'm sorry to say as far as German TV showed she was the only one who did so. But atm they are all getting their medals and presumably there'll be a big shake hands afterwards, though without me as I'm off to bed [local time: 23:47])

no problem :)
How are things going in your part of Japan? I heard that there were two more earthquakes but that fortunately they didn't damage Fukushima further.
The economical and social impact of all these catastrophies on Japan must be immense. :( Winning the soccer championships is at least a slight moral boost.
