Mare We Need A Little Patch Job

Post by D.Rabbit » Wed Dec 05, 2007 2:01 am

I hope your having a wonderful time.
Seems your attempt to stop the spammers from registering has managed to stop anyone from registering.
I signed out and clicked the register link and....try it, you will see what I mean.

The same thing is happening when ever anyone tries to access their Profile.
I can by pass that through the admin panel, so that' not a big deal.
Soon as you have a moment dear, please see if you can patch up the register profile problem.

yes, unfortunately that couldn't be avoided.
Unexpectedly, I had to return to Germany earlier than planned, so that I can now restore the original file (and the spamming problem *sigh*)
I am thinking of a solution to lock the file for spammers and at the same time keep it active for members, but I guess I'll need Froggy's help for that - she's better at PHP-programming than I am.

Sorry about the delayed reply. I had hoped to be able to check the board daily during my vacation, but Sam's modem crashed and so we were without internet (he still is, poor guy).
He sends his greetings to everyone, tough.

Then up he rose, and donn'd his clothes, / And dupp'd the chamber-door;
Let in the maid, that out a maid / Never departed more.

Hi Mare, good to hear from you, not so great to see the spammers back at the board. If Froggy can't help, try Orpheus, he's a very generous guy and enjoys helping folks with their boards.

That sucks that you had to leave the sunny climes for chilly Bavaria, but such is life, and it's ups and downs.

Hi back to Sam I Am, hope your able to read the board soon.
