ok, a little update on the work currently going on:

not fixed:
The smilie bug isn't fixed yet. I'm still working on it.
External links (links to some place other than this board) which were made before today still open in the same window = if you click them, you'll leave the board.

fixed:
We have quick reply forms in every forum now (or so I hope...)
The "view active topics" works now.
(both were no bugs but are regular features of the new software that needed to get activated manually. I really must get myself a manual for this new version.)
All external links made after today will open in pop ups.

I'm not seeing any quick reply in this forum or TWF yet, even after a hard refresh.
What skin are you using?
Stuff
The new window per link is working great, Thanks!

How are you able to access the smilies D.Rabbit?

the smilies and the quick reply work only on the blue and white templates so far, not on the standard one (the green one)

I hope to fix both problems next weekend. In the meantime, I recommend you switch to one of the other templates:
click on "user control panel"
chose "board preferences"
change your template settings from "lea" to "prosilver" or "subsilver2"
don't forget to click "submit"

I use subsilver2, as it has the same layout as the green template. Prosilver is mirror-reversed which is a little puzzling at first, but it looks more elegant

Thank you Mare. I really missed the smilies.

This one is my favorite. :viking: For some reason it tickles my funny bone.

There it is, I found the quick reply, Yeah! But it's naked!
No I or B etc. it's a start.

I've been typing in the smilies, at least the ones I know by heart. Haven't even tried to use the board smilies for a while. A throw back from when it took forever for them to load on dial up, has not been released from my memory.

So Brun Hilda tickles your funny bone? Looks like she's not exactly in the tickling mood to me.

D, I am not sure what you mean by not being able to get rid of your sig. I don't see any sig on your last post

but you do see a sig on this page?
That is the one I could not remove even though I clicked the window in my first edit, it remained.
Open it up again and there was nothing I could do.
it's fine now or maybe it's just me getting lost in another senior's moment?

I don't see any sig. It was perhaps a cached site. Also, it seems that the board does sometimes take a bit till it gets the idea that something got changed.

oooh, now I see what you mean. The old post still shows your signature, only the new posts have none anymore.
I am not sure if the board doesn't realize you made an alteration or if it is a new feature that I can switch on and off. I'll have a look at the Admin control panel and see if it's something I can deactivate.
