my appologies for the board having been down on Thanksgiving.
There was a problem with my credit card and since my hosting company accidentially had an old and invalid email address on file they couldn't reach me. The idea of simply calling me on the phone didn't occur to them (quite understandable and only human, immediately before an important holiday) and so they froze the domain until the problem was sorted out.
Unfortunately, it had to be Thanksgiving of all days, so that I couldn't reach anyone from the billing department.
Thanks to their friendly helpdesk staff I was able to sort the problem out and 2 mins after the bill was payed, my domain was back online
Premature new year's resolution: From now on my contact info will be kept up to date!
