Re: Warhawk on the prowl
I got some inspiration recently and was able to make use of some of the leftover CPG parts I didn't use for the Warhawk. :) The tail section of the Gunship is actually a piece similar to a boat hull, and I decided to use those to create my first vertical ship design. That did create a few interestin...

Warhawk on the prowl
Good news, everyone! I was recently inspired to work on a new design, and I've been pleased with how quickly it came together. I was also able to include most of my ideas, so that makes me happy. :D Seeing The Lego Movie this past Friday didn't hurt either. Some of the inspiration for this set came ...

Re: Defiance - Season One - Spoilers
I thought it was okay, not overly great or terrible. I'm keeping an open mind to see what develops. AFAIK, the Pale Wars were the result of the alien ambassador to the UN being assassinated, and later the arks being sabotaged by an unknown party. Most of them crashed into Earth with catastrophic eff...

Re: Icarus unveiled
I don't see why not. :D I got the sudden inspiration for a new quick build the other day, and I will admit I'm impressed with how quickly I was able to put it together. I think two days might be a record. It's a rather oddball design, so I hope none of these pictures seem under par given the c...

Re: Dreams and the Dreamers who Dream them.
I had a rather odd dream about a week ago, and I will admit I wouldn't mind seeing more to this particular story. The interesting thing with this one is that it was a pretty short segment. It was unusual in the sense that when I normally have a sense of perspective in dreams, it's my own first perso...

Re: Icarus unveiled
You mean on the aft views? Those are the engine lights, with the sky blue coloration. ;) There are some similar lights on the engine cowls as well, but they're sort of hard to see unfortunately from my angles. I probably should have also taken an angle that shows the side of the engine, opposite the...

Re: Icarus unveiled
Thanks. It was quite a project, but I had a lot of fun building it. If work didn't stress me out as much as it tends to, I might have finished sooner.

Icarus unveiled
Good news, everyone! After working on and off for close to two months (owing in no small part to the worst intrusion - RL :p), I finally have a new Lego custom finished. It's been a rather challenging and ambitious project, but I think it ultimately came out okay. The new design is named Icarus, and...

Re: Sci Fi Channel B-Movies #2
I'd actually scanned the last set of posts, but missed your comments on Ghost Storm. Mea culpa.

Re: Sci Fi Channel B-Movies #2
Anyone else catch Ghost Storm last night? All I can say is... wow. It was pretty badly directed and written. Most of the actors actually didn't seem too bad, but they weren't given much to work with. And while I sort of like the angle of having the ghosts being a verifiable scientific phenomen...

Re: The Hunger Games
I have heard some critics say the film doesn't seem accurate in regards to District 12, which is one of the poorer districts where apparently food is not ideal for the average person. I have no clue if the book says it's meant to be a "starvation level" or not, but given that the district ...

Pacific Rim & Epic
A couple of interesting trailers for spring and summer. The trailer for Epic has apparently been floating around for a while, but I usually only see them in the theaters. :p The music is "What if the Storm Ends?" by Snow Patrol. [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvO2K_-7Ofg[/...

Re: Check-In #37: the Mayan Apocalypse Edition!
* waves to everyone * :hello: Happy holidays! Work's been something of a hassle lately, and that's one reason I've been lazy about checking in over here. But on the more positive side, I recently found a gaming business that has a lot of older OOP stuff for good prices, and I'm working on a FASA lib...
