Re: The Orville - Season Two -- SPOILERS

Won't be able to watch until Saturday as I'm out tomorrow night. I'm a little nervous about the "dark" comments above... But nothing will stop me watching it.

I'll probably avoid the thread next week, I want to watch the two-parter without spoilers. :D

Re: Author's Check-in #11

4,737 words today, two chapters. Currently standing at 57,654 words total, 22 chapters plus prologue. That last chapter was a little... fraught.

Re: Author's Check-in #11

I'm hoping to get to 5k this evening. Just writing a bit that should be a complete shock. :) Two down, a third nearly went with them...

Re: Check-In Thread #95: Americium Interstate Dogme

After coding a decommissioning script for a database and code catalogue yesterday, I suddenly had the urge to have its final line be an e-mail to developers consisting of this link:

Re: The Orville - Season Two -- SPOILERS

The Isaac/Claire 'ship for us in the UK this week. That was... interesting, not quite sure what to make of it. I'm glad their equipment is well protected from water, though! :p

So we're now 1 week behind instead of 2. Wonder if they'll skip a week soon in the UK to get us back to 2 weeks behind...

I had home-working day today, they're trialling a three days in, two out pattern at work. It was fairly good, got a lot done.

Because within a forum you only see users browsing that forum. For a list of all online users, you'd need to check the main index.

Re: Author's Check-in #11

5k words done on Hyperlight 9, just under. :) Something RJ said a while back has been percolating in my brain and just came to the fore - I know where this tale is going now. Which is good, considering I just wrote chapter 15 and 16. :p

Re: The Orville - Season Two -- SPOILERS

That was... an interesting episode, I guess. The astrology one for us this week, and yes, advanced aliens believing in myths would certainly be believable. That said... really? Bortus and Kelly got let go after shooting up a concentration camp? Even if they hadn't just "proved" the myth, that's wort...

Pulled my old computer games controller out of storage this week but the soft plastic has degraded so it's all icky to touch. I've thrown it out and ordered a new one... Got a flight SIM game at Christmas, want to go do a barrel roll under the Golden Gate Bridge. :D

Re: Star Trek: Discovery Season 2

The Discovery uniforms are presented as the new ones? Yup. The TOS uniforms are colored of the era, but the fabric and style are both modernized. This is most likely due to the requirement that any "new" Trek must be X-percent different than legacy Trek due to ownership rights. Actually it's the ot...

*sends hugs to Scotty and friend*

Been so busy this week, going to a show on Thursday and Friday (same show, 1h long, the jokes did not get old, went twice as it had a very close friend in it). :)

Hyperlight 8 - The Selenean Contagion

After the intensity of First Contact, Susan Delaney and her colleagues would like nothing more than a quiet first term at the new EDF Academy installation in orbit of Mars. This year, however, Admiral Hinsharis has opted to begin shipboard training for first-year cadets right at the start of the yea...

Damn it, lost a filling. Emergency appointment booked at a new dentist. (Haven't been to my last one for five years as they kept trying to up-sell even when I said I could only afford NHS prices.)
