The bottom one in particular looks very classic Art Nouveau.

I asked for a tree in Art Nouveau style but only Bing made one that I liked.
It's looking at me, and it's very angry. :flee:

Re: The Picture Thread XII-- Dozen It Look Nice?

I went for a walk around the pasture last week. I want to keep an eye on the only Jack-in-the-Pulpit we have. It got broken off the last few years, so I drug some tree branches over to it and surrounded it to keep, I assume, Cayli from walking into it (I found trip marks, so assume blind horse stumb...

Re: Infirmary Thread #21: Say "Aaargh!!"

Got a wind migraine today, and it's not really easing up with the decrease in wind tonight. Huge misunderstanding! Your tree only meant to give you a hug and underestimated its own strength. That's a hug I will pass on. The doc looked in both ears to compare them. Ears differ very strongl...

Re: Check-In 133: Harshad Happy Untritrium Craig Jones

Sounds like an interesting one. Well, judge for yourself: Well, I've been getting caught up on deleting bad photos, photos that are duplicates (take several to make sure to get one good), and videos that aren't any good. This means with some photos, I am truly not sure what it was I was taking a pi...

Re: Garden Club V: Herbs, Vegetables, and Blooms

Where I am expanding the garden back to it's old size, I've pulled out the last of the little trees that sprouted from the roots of the bigger tree. The biggest one was 3 inches in diameter, so the root was fairly deep, but I got it deep enough to hopefully kill it. If not, I'll just keep digging it...

Re: Infirmary Thread #21: Say "Aaargh!!"

I'm so proud of everyone, keeping this thread active. Brings tears to my eyes. :sob: I can't think of any injuries in February, nor March, just a lot of really bad migraines. The more active the weather, the worst they get. A couple of weeks ago, I was swinging the spade along as I walked to the gar...

Re: Check-In 133: Harshad Happy Untritrium Craig Jones

Hi everyone ! :hello: Between working outside when it's decent, fighting winds, heat, creeped out by ticks, loading hay in the storage, and buying hay, drawing up plans for the garden, re-building the garden, searching for a medal I found in a photo I took (there's a story), trying to do some writin...

Re: Check-In 132: Pronic Aethra Ogle - HNY 2024

It's cold, it's cold, it's cold. Wind gusts have been in excess of 40mph, temps have been below zero, until Sunday, lighter winds, but still below zero. The winds with the second storm forced the snow right up to the outside door, and it was packed kind of hard, so I had to force my way out. We only...

When I did chores, it was -11, with a feels like of -22. When I go back out in a few minutes, it should be up to -3, with a feels like of -20. Toasty. :D

Be sure to never drive through deep water, especially if it's moving. People drown that way

oops, forgot. Injuries, I've had a few. Big bruise on my right arm... not sure how I did that. I remember thinking: "That's gonna bruise." but what I did is not coming to me. A little skin burn from the cold. A pulled muscle? in my left side rib cage. I was trying to pull a brace out...

Re: Garden Club V: Herbs, Vegetables, and Blooms

Oh, no, that's terrible. :( Is there anything you can put on the plants to repel them? Well, I killed a lot of them with a dish washing soap/water mix. I think that counts as repel. it often helps to spray the plants with a dishwashing detergent solution or plain soap water. Aphids are c...

Re: The Weather: Sunshine and glory.

Today was overcast, but at 35 degrees, it wasn't bad. Right now it's snowing (heavy again). They raised the levels to 13 inches, but who knows? The worst part are the wind gusts, which they say will be up to 45mph. Even that is nothing compared to the temp of 8 degrees expected by Saturday and worse...

Re: Infirmary Thread #21: Say "Aaargh!!"

My left wrist is getting worse. Have to be more and more careful when using my left hand. It's the sharp pain that gets me, though the dull ache gets a little annoying when I want to sleep. With the storm approaching, my head has been busy telling me just how much it hates a low pressure system, and...
