Re: Science Tidbits #6
The origins of eukaryotes was actually one of my two major research interests as a molecular biology student in the early 80s. What little I remember still blows my mind. But that was during the molecular biology boom. There was little research (or corporate) money for such archaic study. It was inc...

Re: Who's Here: the Sound of Silence Edition.
That's one option. Another would be to keep most of the board archival and open one new forum that would start new thread and quote/comment on old ones (to concentrate the traffic). The two sticking points are the software (which quit being supported ~10 years ago) and traffic. Without traffic, why ...

I showed up for the subpoena, but the courtroom was empty.

Re: Who's Here: Name That Guest.
There's a little brown woolly mammoth batting its eyelashes at me. I've been batting my eyelashes at RJD for years --in my famously pantless state, even-- but I guess ya gotta be a pachyderm or Tamlyn Tomita to catch his eye Just a void here. I'm trying to avoid it. Okay. Fair enough. I mu...

Re: Check-in 113: Proth Prime Tabernacle Nihonium
Well I think this is why God invented chocolate, and alcohol  In another century, I had a girlfriend who said that *I* was the reason God created alcohol. Also, in possibly a separate incident (for which I was atoning). I seem to recall her saying that I was the reason God created chocolate. W...

When I got home this afternoon, Queenie was waiting for me at the top of the stairs. She keeps trying to make me believe that she is absolutely starving to death. She's hilarious. Yeah my mom (who my sister nicknamed "Queen" or "Queeny" around the turn of the century) does exact...
