Re: Groceries: You bought that?

I bought bread, eggs, a lovely cabbage, milk and some Roquefort cheese (perfect with the pears I bought the previous day) on Saturday. Today, I got a tube of tomato concentrate, a bunch of tulips and some maracuja juice. And 3 books :book: Tomorrow I'll be out in the country and shall try to get toi...

From Tuesday on, all recreational facilities will be closed (cinemas, libraries, baths etc.) From Wednesday on, all non-food shops will be closed except ...

Re: Garden Club V: Herbs, Vegetables, and Blooms

my neighbour's cats keep munching my lemon grass At my office, my tomato seedlings are almost 2 inches high and the cucumber seedlings are even taller =) It's nice to have something growing to watch. The birds sit on the window sill and look at my greens quite greedily but they can't get near them. ...

congrats! I switched to chocolate instead. Better a round belly than lung cancer. Gary , did you have your surgery yet? I had trouble with bone loss and loose teeth when we started to prepare for the implant. My dentist suspected a lack of vitamin C and for 4 months I took a rather high dosage. Thur...

that's a bit unfortunate if you are used to speakers. The way you describe it the coil seems to be damaged. If it were very expensive speakers, a repair would be worth the effort. Otherwise a new and mo0derately priced pair would propably be the better choice. Have a word with Santaman over at Terra...

yikes indeed! Pain in the front teeth is about the worst thing that can happen. I hope the AB works quickly, Gary! Seems to be tooth ache month - I had session #4 of 5 for a root filling in my only wisdom tooth. Fortunately, I have a dentist who like me believes in trying everything to rescue a toot...

I vote for my bed now :) Am quite bowled over by a business meeting. The colleague who held it is awfully chaotic and jumps from one topic to the next and back like a demented flea. And she's one of the people who start sentences and never finish them. It's terribly exhausting trying to concentrate ...

I got milk, Italian cheese (Scamorza), butter, coriander leaves, free range eggs, wholemeal bread with sunflower seeds :yum:, a free range chicken, Sauerkraut (planning to have pork sausages with it next week), a cucumber, carrots and a big celeriac bulb. The carrots are a bit nibbled at by rabbits ...

I don't understand it either. There's really no problem with the real estate market at the moment. She's got a really nice little house in a gated retirement community, and she's not asking a lot. In fact, it's a very reasonable price. Perhaps she could sell it to one of her neighbours? They might ...

we had such a lovely sunny and warm day yesterday but today it was dark and rainy, though still rather warm (almost 10°C). The forecast predicts a rainy carnival with temperatures up to 14°C and a temperature drop on Ash Wednesday to 5°with occasional sleet :( I hope next weekend will be nicer - I'm...

Chicken in lemon sauce with bacon-dates and cranberry-rice. The recipe is very simple: cut chicken breast and several organic lemons into chunks, add finely chopped chili, lots of bay leaves and olive oil and leave to marinate several hours or up to 1 day (toss occasionally). Wrap deseeded dates in ...

Drugstores and supermarket chains like Walmart may only sell low-dosed vitamin supplement tablets and herbal teas. Our system has the advanta...

There's an idea for a movie. Death and Murphy on vaca.
How about Death having a Murphy-day? Souls escaping at the last moment, blunted scythe, moths in the cowl, stuff like that? LOL that'd have been the perfect storyline for Terry Pratchett!
