Are you suggesting that sci-fi writing requires more imagination, and the greater one's imagination, the greater one's proclivity for polymathery?

Wouldn't you agree that it requires more imagination, intelligence, and education?

Wouldn't you say that intelligence and imagination are independent of each other, i.e., you can be gifted in one of those but not necessarily the other?

So you have very little respect for the Fantasy genre?

What's the basic difference between the fantasy and science fiction genres?

Fantasy ignores the laws of nature and Science Fiction extrapolates from known science and technology-- but does anybody really agree on that definition?

If the transporter in Star Trek is pretty much an impossible invention, does that make Star Trek part of the fantasy genre?

Aren't there a ton of things in Star Trek, from transporters and force fields to energy beings and mixed human-alien characters, that make it more Fantasy than SF?

Interesting. I've never really enjoyed the more traditional fantasy genre novels, including classics such as Lord of the Rings. Yet I've always loved Star Trek, which as you've pointed out is largely fantasy. How can that be explained?

Could it be that the trappings are those of Science Fiction, even if the setting is more Fantasy?

What is it about Twilight Zone that sets it apart from most traditional sci-fi or horror work?

Could it possibly be the synergy of the great stories, stylized dialogue, surreal sets, stark black-and-white cinematography, and coming at just the right social moment for it to make the maximum impact?

Would Rod Serling approve of the latest Jordan Peele incarnation?

Can you imagine what Serling would have accomplished if he hadn't died at the age of 50?

On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone series so far?

Is 5 the minimum rating you'd give a series for you to continue watching it?

Should we give it a break for the first season or so, just to give it a chance to find itself?

You're right. Do you remember how bad and uneven TNG was its first two seasons? And do you remember how long it took Seinfeld to get its footing?

Can you blame me if my face looked like this after I read your two questions?
