Today he's blaming the rain and the teleprompter for it.

Remember back in the day when they used to bemoan Obama being anywhere near a teleprompter?

Biden, Under Fire on Race, Apologizes for Remarks on Segregationists

His campaign is going to fizzle and implode. This is just the start.

^He's still polling good and he's reportedly getting more donations than anyone else. The media clearly does not like him though and might be a problem.
Which is weird as during the last election he was the hero who was going to save us all from the evil of Hillary Clinton.

The Left is desperate to find somebody who can't beat Trump in the South and Midwest.

At least Biden is still emphasizing the importance of working with other elected officials, whether he agrees with their positions or not. This is the reality of democratic government. You don't accomplish anything by blindly hating people.

Rural America is where the Dems need to regain their support. Plus the rust belt of Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Also, the sad reality is that the Democratic candidate knows he/she likely has to win the popular vote by more than 3 million votes to defeat Trump.

Where are you seeing that he's polling well? I see reports (often) which state he's polls better than Trump; however, other news articles I see show financial supporters are throwing money to other candidates and that he's slipping. I wish I had a link to yet another article which pointed out he's a 20th Century relic who should serve in an advisory role. He's too damned told to be running for the Presidency.

^Here's one from July 3rd [EDIT: it's been updated since then]. Others are polling ahead in a poll here and there (which are being played up by the candidates who the polls support), but on average Biden has the lead. And this indicates that Biden has raised more per day than any other Dem.

Yeah, they'll have to flip at least two states to have any hope of beating Trump in the electoral collage.

And Biden is popular there, which is what makes him the best bet. He certainly has a better chance than a schoolmarm from Massachusetts, I'm sorry to say (although she would have a decent chance).

It really only came down to a few thousand votes (I forget if it was 20k or 50k) in a couple of states. On the one hand, he now has the advantage of incumbency, but he's also failed at everything (except appointing Right-wing judges) and he's wracked up more public fatigue points in two years than any other president has in eight years. It will all come down to inertia versus low popularity versus the strength of the Democratic candidate.

Nah. 80 is the new 60. Besides, a relic of the 20th century is exactly what we need.

He's definitely still in the lead. Other candidates picked up some steam after the debates, but that was inevitable due to the exposure, not because he made a bad showing.

And to be fair I did see a graph last night that Buttigieg did out-raise Biden in donations the last quarter.

Meanwhile Eric Swalwell is now out, but Tom Steyer is in.

I think I saw that, but didn't Buttigieg have the whole quarter, whereas Biden jumped in somewhere in the middle?

I think we need fresh meat. A young candidate is more likely to capture the imaginations (and votes) of young people. That's why I like Buttigieg and dislike Biden & Sanders.

But then again, I'll vote for anyone running against 45.

I would like some age and experience this time around. Trump will leave the country in a horrific mess and it ill take someone who knows what they're doing to put it back together.

I'd settle for "not Trump", but the next President will be inheriting an epic mess.

They let one of the seats on the Supreme Court remain vacant for a couple of years. I wonder if we could do that with the presidency.

I miss the days when something like this would have ended someone's Presidency.

And all sides are declaring victory in this. We've gone from the Cyber Age to the Age of Delusion.

And this article points out the problem with the testimony.

They should have gotten Daniel Craig to play Mueller.

So.... who are your top 2 or 3 Democratic candidates right now?

I'm not a fan of Biden but I'd vote for him. My faves are the two women, Warren and Harris, plus Mayor Pete.
