^It's only bad when the other guy does it.

Just look at the difference between how Al Frankin was treated over how Trump was treated.

Exactly. This is just like the situation with that Supreme Court Justice. Which is precisely why the little trolls came up with it-- revenge. These people have nothing better to do with their days and nights than to search extensively for embarrassing moments from decades past.

Yeah, that was pretty ridiculous.

Elizabeth Warren wrote 'American Indian' for race on 1986 bar registration, report says

No idea what or why Ms. Warren kept playing the Indian card, but suffice to say this has blown up to the point I think it will be a detriment toward her securing the nomination. That being said, I've always said she needs to stay in the Senate where she can do a lot more good.

I doubt if she will even try at this point. Kind of a shame, since I do think she would make a decent candidate and president. I'm still hoping that Bernie Sanders will run again, but other than that I like what I've been reading about Cory Booker.

I'm in a wait and see mode with the candidates. Inevitably they will start self-destructing and we'll have to see who's still standing come the primaries.

Yeah this does seem to be a self-inflicted wound on her part.

Whenever anybody anywhere does anything, they should first think to themselves, "How will this affect me if I decide to run for president?"

That's hilarious. It's too bad he's just doing Sundays these days. You'd think The Donald would inspire him to come back full time, like it did with Berke Breathed.

The line between satire and reality is becoming increasingly blurred.

Maybe reality has just disappeared, leaving only satire.

My friend, Fred, who works for the Government, texted today asking what I give the chances for a shutdown. I said about 75%, and he agreed. I made mention it being ironic that the GOP madly worship St Reagan, the very man who said, "Mister Gorbachev -- TEAR DOWN THIS WALL." Well, Fred didn't like that and tried to lay out that "this is different". Things went back and forth, so I pointed out that if Teddy Roosevelt were alive today, speaking his beliefs, that the GOP would label him a dirty socialist. I continued by saying TR's memory is insulted every time a Republican occupies the White House and TR's portrait is hung in The Roosevelt Room. Things took another twist with Fred asking, "You'll at least admit Obama is a Marist, right?" My response? " NO!"

Unfortunately, Fred drinks the Kool Aid and sees someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortze "as a threat to our liberty". I see her as a nice, breath of fresh air who is making great talking points. Plus, it's funny watching the panty-waisted twerps on the right go in a panic over her.

I don't think much of Ocasio-Cortez but it's rather amusing to watch people act like she's the greatest threat to the country since the coming of Gozer the Gozerian.
