Re: Groceries: You bought that?
The Wife wants to make crab soup this weekend, so I went out and bought a big crab, some crab stock, whipping cream, sherry, and a few other ingredients for the soup.

It turned out to be pretty good. The Wife wasn't happy with it, but I thought it was delicious.

Re: Groceries: You bought that?
The grocery store was picked clean today. So I had to go to another, kroger, which had plenty of stuff.
Re: Groceries: You bought that?
The stores here are crazy. Walmart and Giant Eagle are no longer operating 24 hours, in hopes to help have time to have shelves properly stocked. Marc's is limiting the quantities of what people can buy, so there is plenty of everything.
I panicked shopped yesterday...a box of 42 K-cups, and 2 large bottles of Peppermint Mocha Creamer. I'm all set for a quarantine now.

Re: Groceries: You bought that?
^^ What happened?
Today I went to CVS, mainly to pick up my medicine, but I also got some deodorant and vitamin pills. I wanted to get Fitbit batteries, but they were all out-- I did finally remember to get batteries for my metal detector, though. Their shelves were fully stocked, and a couple of their refrigerated display cases (or whatever you call them) seemed a little sparse, but not so much that I would have noticed if I hadn't been looking.
Things were very different than usual at Stop & Shop, though, but not disastrous. The shelves were noticeably depleted, but everything was organized and stacked in front. There were store employees all over the place, restocking as fast as they could. They didn't seem to be out of anything, although the paper goods aisle was the emptiest. But I saw lots of paper towels, and lots of customers were carrying toilet paper. And there were lots more customers than is typical for Sunday morning.
I got everything I intended to, easily enough, although there were only two bags of BBQ chips left. I also got shampoo, a chicken pot pie, cinnamon breakfast pastries, and Arizona Iced Tea.

Re: Groceries: You bought that?
There was a report that WinCo was being bought out. And I just got back from our little market and the has now hit here too with the water, toilet paper, bread, and pasta aisles being cleaned out.
