Re: What Dreams May Come.
I forgot to mention this morning of last night's dream.
I was at a doctor's office, for an appointment I suppose, but the nurse kept trying to give me pills to take without telling me what they were. I got rather irate and told the doctor that this wasn't going to work out.

Re: What Dreams May Come.
^^ Hydroxychloroquine, no doubt.
I had this weird one where I was in an old office building, like something out of a 1940s movie, but it was all empty of furniture. I and a bunch of other people, all strangers, were hiding in it because of an imminent nuclear attack-- as if it would do us any good. Outside the window, it looked like Boston, but not any specific area, and everything was kind of old-fashioned. I settled myself into a closet in one of the offices and suddenly there was a couple of loud bangs and the building shook. Something fell off the shelf above me. When the building stopped shaking, I crept over to the window and looked out. White flakes were drifting out of the sky like volcanic ash, but I couldn't see any damage out there.

^That sounds kind of spooky.
Just a jumble for me last night. I remember trying to burn a DVD but couldn't find all the scenes I wanted to put in it. Then there was something like a police raid, with me leading them to where it was to take place. I waited some distance off until things quieted down then went in and found my whole family sitting around talking. But it was like from the 90s as my cousins were still pretty young.

^^ I guess the cops got what they needed. Was there anybody in particular missing from the group?

I'm sure I remembered something when I woke up, but it's gone now....

Re: What Dreams May Come.
For some reason, I haven't remembered my dreams in many weeks. Very strange.
Re: What Dreams May Come.
I used to never remember my dreams - propably an auto-protect mechanism as I frequently have nightmares. A few years ago I made a therapy against depressions (which, as it turned out later, had been caused by an undiagnosed diabetes) and ever since I can remember my dreams again if I wake up abruptly. If I wake up normally, I usually don't remember anything.
The last one I recall was a few nights ago: the proprietress of the haberdashery was a GP and demanded some sort of treatment that I wasn't willing to permit. I recall shouting at her (which awake I would never do but propably should). When I woke up I was afraid I had really shouted and woken my neighbour but apparently he didn't hear anything.

Well, that might be a good thing. You weren't enjoying your dreams, as I recall.
Do you know a haberdashery proprietress who's guilty of malpractice?huggle wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 5:51 amThe last one I recall was a few nights ago: the proprietress of the haberdashery was a GP and demanded some sort of treatment that I wasn't willing to permit. Re: What Dreams May Come.
That's exactly my thought. But it's weird. How do you go from remembering vivid dreams every night, to never remembering your dreams? It's like someone flipped a switch.RJDiogenes wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 8:07 pmWell, that might be a good thing. You weren't enjoying your dreams, as I recall.

^That happens to me. I'll go for some time not remembering or only remembering fragments- then I'll get a stretch where I remember.

Same here. I got nothing from last night.
Re: What Dreams May Come.
A vague memory of trying to hide in some isolate valley, I think from some kind of dystopian government, but it turned out the people in the valley were vampire-like monsters.

Re: What Dreams May Come.
Lupy, what's the point of dreaming about no-win situations when we can all enjoy loads of those in our waking lives?

Re: What Dreams May Come.
^Dreams reflect reality!

Re: What Dreams May Come.
dreaming about --- making french toast just like three eggs and 3 slices of thick bread and ... little milk and sweetener and cinnamon all mixed and then fried in the pan except I had to do it in a new space age mall like setting..and bring the flipper tool and pan and mix and all to the mall.. but before that I was a policeman in a parking lot of this mall with these detectives and we were summoned to the mall parking lot.. to investigate a person who could not get in there car.. but the main detective in charge was whispering what he noticed happening in the dream of the mall parking lot --- it was like he was the dream master. doing the whole dream. and just telling us other police what to notice.. yeah. it was about an old rich person signalling his friend and such with like their phone.. and they were .."controlling" what we were to do.. nobody knew that the other person that he was talking to was the really rich person that was making all this happen thru the first man.. who was in a wheelchair.. strange I would dream about an old wheelchair person you know..?
Thank you

Just a jumble, but I think I was trying to solve a mystery with the characters from Murder In Paradise.

I had something weird going on, but I lost it within five seconds of waking up. I vaguely remember a stylized city skyline at night....
Re: What Dreams May Come.
I vaguely remember something about going to the Post Office, but it was in a new building and I couldn't find my PO Box. Then my mother and grandmother showed up.

Re: What Dreams May Come.
That's some very interesting imagery. That's got to mean something. Where's Maddie?
I had a bit of an odd one that took place in a universe that was kind of a combination of Spacious Skies and Babylon 5 and Star Trek. I was on an exploratory vessel and we found a lost cylindrical habitat, which we were exploring. Somebody mentioned that it was even smaller than B5. We got a giant shield to roll back and expose an observation window (so it was also like that Orville episode), even though such a thing didn't match the habitat design at all. Outside we could see our ship, which kind of resembled the Enterprise-D, only more square. The habitat was starting to freeze over from lack of maintenance, so everything inside the arboretum area around the inside of the cylinder was covered in snow and ice. As we trudged through, we were attacked by polar bears, because apparently polar bears spontaneously appear in snow and ice.
