Very nice shot of the turtle, Lupine. It's pretty.

I finally got a decent shot of Ory chowing down on a blade of grass. I'd love to get a face shot of her, because she is hilarious to watch as she chews, but I am the one feeding it to her and she moves too much for a non-blurry shot. She gets very excited if I step out the door, absolutely sure that I am leaving to get her some grass (and I usually am).

Ory, on her third blade of grass:
Ory having her daily grass.jpg
ummm... or not? It isn't showing in preview, so I will try to post, see if it shows. I am getting a lot of Internal Errors, so maybe that's why?
Okay, that fixed it. Apparently the Internal Error affected it, so I had to start new.

That's interesting. I assume Ory is an indoor cat. I wonder how Chloe would like it if we gave her grass.

Yeah, if you're uploading as an attachment, it's possible that a server error would disrupt it.

Yep, she is. Chloe would be very appreciative, I would think. Grass is something that they need, not just for puking, but for folic acid, moving hair through their system, and yes, if their stomach is upset, they will eat grass then barf it up, but that is a good thing (for the cat! ). You do want to make sure the grass hasn't been treated with anything. Pesticides and fertilizers are really bad for us and cats. When I choose grass for Ory, I slide the blade between my thumb and finger to check for softness. Tough grass or grass that doesn't slide smoothly/feel soft in both directions, is not really liked by them. You can even grow a small patch in a pot in the house, that way she can pick and choose.
Another thing that they like is Catnip, but you don't want to give them too much. About a leaf or two, tops. She might be a bit high, but she'll be fine. :D Callie eats Catnip and it doesn't affect her, but Ory will get nuts, and meaner than normal. Some cats get playful, some get loving, some just don't react, depends on the cat.

Yep, happened again just a bit ago. I just deleted the file, then reattached. :)

Oh, Chloe loves her catnip. She also gets a buzz from my Brother's spearmint gum and the Kaboom that my Mother uses to clean the bathroom. She's a party girl. A party girl who likes to pick fights. :lovehurts:

I consider birds at my bird feeder to be my pets. One of the conference delegates at my heroes conference is from New Zealand. He saw this bird on our campus and was floored. He shouted at me, "What is THAT?"

Maddie will like that, although she'd probably prefer the term "friends."

"Such exotic creatures you have in this strange and foreign land of yours." That's a great picture, with a nicely composed setting and background.

^ Thanks. It was taken with my iPhone on maximum zoom, which usually doesn't yield the best photos.

No, you don't. I didn't see my first cardinal until I moved east. Their range is east of the Mississippi.
