Oh, that's a great idea. Hopefully her book will be out by next year, and that would look great.

They are indeed humungous. Has the momma bird been feeding them more lizards with growth hormone?

Actually the mother tends to feed them things like cutworms, caterpillars, and various grubs. It's the father that brings in lizards and the occasional bird.

Wow, look at them, so grown up and out there exploring the world. I just hope they stick to the general vicinity so that we can keep tabs on them.

they are like baby lyrebirds

oh thats much more than a snack RJ - its a caramel topped chocolate CAKE. its like 8 portions big - though maybe 8 slices of cake IS a snack to some peeps?
