I finished my Incubus story barely under the wire before I have to pivot to NaNo. Whew!
Arisen from the ashes of many burned asunder accounts I come to fill your heart with blackest ink and glitter!

Chapter 34 is done. Might get one or two more this weekend, then nothing for a week as I'm on training. Should have the first draft done in 2 weeks or so. :) And there's the mother of all To Be Continued endings coming... :D I need to be VERY careful with it though.

Ah, well, no love for "Lurker In The Shallows" at Daily Sci Fi. Those guys are hard to please. How can you not love a story about an octopus to the face?

I'm going to have to email Analog at the end of the week to see what the holdup is with Severance Pay.

But only a couple of hours after writing that Analog rejected it.

^Only that it wasn't right for them. In retrospect the story might be too esoteric.

Try Asimov's. Same publisher, but they're a bit more avant garde.

Cool!
