They say on a clear day, one can see Canada across the lake. All I remember from going up there as a child, and being upset that I could not see Canada. I still wasn't able to see it.

That's some view. I don't think I've ever been in a building that tall.

That picture with the small ancient church next to a modern skyscraper looks very Bostonish.

The church is the Old Stone Church. It is the oldest building on Public Square, and the second built within city limits. The stadium along the lake is First Energy Stadium, where the Browns play football. To the right of that is the Science Center (the small dome) and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (the small white building). The old building in front of the stadium is the Justice Center.

We were only 42 floors up. I think there are 10 more floors above where we were. Terminal Tower was a train station built in 1927. For the longest time, the city of Cleveland did not allow any other building to be taller than it.

The second picture is of the Cuyahoga River. Cuyahoga translates to "crooked". It winds through downtown and the rest of the county.

Science, Justice, and Rock'n'Roll all within walking distance-- that's got to be meaningful in some way.

"Cuyahoga" always reminds me of that Pretenders song, speaking of Rock'n'Roll.
