^^ She was a great character, a strong hero, and a gorgeous woman. RIP, Ms. Peel.

Why catalogue all these films and shows when you can re-watch them all?

I get so distracted sorting through all my stuff. I really should have created a database.

^ Yup. And I'm ancient enough to remember putting aluminum foil on the rabbit-ear antenna to improve reception

Oh, yeah, we had to do that, too.

^^ That's interesting. Are you referring the the Highway Patrol show starring Broderick Crawford? I always enjoyed watching that, but I don't remember feeling smarter afterward

That's the one. It's entertaining, but it's a terrible show. We watch Perry Mason and feel stupid because we can never solve the mystery, and then watch Highway Patrol and feel smart because all the characters are idiots.

Right The Wife and I have watched every Perry Mason, probably multiple times. That poor prosecuting attorney, Hamilton Burger.... how he kept his job all those years losing to Perry is a mystery in itself

Ah, I didn't know you were such a fan. Burger and Tragg are hilarious. Luckily, the writers will occasionally give them a moment of nobility so that they don't become complete jokes. In one I saw recently, Perry pulled one of his rabbits out of his hat and the judge looked at Burger and said, "Don't you want to object?" And Burger replied something like, "No, sir. We all want to get at the truth and I'm in favor of anything that accomplishes that."

^^ That's true, you make a good point. Tragg and Burger were constant losers, and sometimes they were belligerent and poor sports. But at times they showed some much-needed class.
