Since the beginning of time, there have been tales and legends of humanoid creatures who live in caves and tunnels beneath our feet and who occasionally emerge in the dark of night to cause all kinds of mischief, including, but not limited to, death, doom, and destruction. In more recent decades, various movies of the low-budget variety have mined this idea for plots. Get it? Mined. Anyway, our theme this week is "Cellar Dweller Fellahs." The concession stand will be serving tubers and spring water.

I haven't seen or even heard of Neon Maniacs and that surprises me.
I have seen C.H.U.D but it had been a considerable amount of time.

I saw CHUD back in the 80s as a video rental, but I literally never heard of Neon Maniacs until last week.

One of the most beloved creatures in the history of life on Earth is the humble frog. From the iconic cursed prince of folklore to the superstardom of Kermit, these dandy amphibians have captured the imagination of humans for centuries and we here at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Double Feature are at the forefront of their fandom. However, it is the province of Horror movies to frighten and offend us by corrupting that which we hold most dear, and so it is not surprising to find a B-Movie or two where polliwogs are the monsters! Our theme this week is "The Greatest Stories Ever Toad." The concession stand will be serving cuisses de grenouille.

Um... wow. :wtf: It's like the makers were indulging in 420 day a little too much. Though I would liked to have seen this bunch make a live-action version of Bucky O'Hare.

I was hoping there would be a DVD double feature, but no such luck. I don't think the sequel is even on DVD.

Wow, I never heard of that one. It looks like a good old-fashioned Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers Space Opera.

Consider the humble spider: Though some may consider them repellent or fearsome, arachnids are actually useful members of the ecology, controlling the population of more destructive pests. We here at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Double Feature have only praise and admiration for these wonders of evolution, even if they do make our skin crawl. That being said, there are some valid reasons to fear and avoid spiders, such as on those occasions when they take semi-human form and commit violence and murder. Our theme this week is, "You're More Afraid Of Them Than They Are Of You." The concession stand will be serving something nice and juicy in a wrap.

It does look great, and it's another one that I never heard of until the last few days. There's no end to them. I wonder if old B-Movies appearing out of the ether is an aspect of the Mandela Effect.
