A Leandran made ParcurS-type all-environment transport as seen in Secrets in the Sand and Urth Fall.
This is nice. Dramatic angle, cool lightning storm in the distance.

New Araignée, the capital of Longshore.
Also nicely composed, although I question having tall buildings on a planet so close to a Gas Giant. :D

^^ Whoa, that's amazing. How many tries did that one take?

I was playing around with Meta.AI last night and it's not too bad. It gives good information and responds fairly well to creative requests, and it can create images (and itty bitty animations) directly from the prompt. It seems to understand better than the direct interface to the image generator.

Still no luck with specific requests for planets, though. But I asked it to write a story about the astronomers who first discover a verified alien radio signal and it gave me this:

"The Signal"

Dr. Maria Rodriguez, a no-nonsense astrophysicist with a sharp mind and a love for coffee, gazed intently at the data streaming across her computer screen. Her colleague, Dr. John Taylor, a charming and slightly eccentric radio astronomer, burst into the room, his eyes shining with excitement.

"Maria, I think we've got it!" John exclaimed, his British accent thick with enthusiasm. "The signal is clear as day!"

Maria raised an eyebrow. "Don't get ahead of yourself, John. We've been down this road before."

But as she scrutinized the data, her skepticism began to fade. The signal was unlike anything they'd seen before - a repeating pattern of pulses, eerily regular and undeniably intelligent.

"Blimey," John whispered, his face inches from the screen. "This is it, Maria. We're not alone in the universe."

Maria's eyes locked onto the data, her mind racing with implications. "We need to verify this. Run the tests again, John."

John nodded, his fingers flying across the keyboard. The results confirmed their suspicions - they had indeed detected an alien civilization, broadcasting its presence to the cosmos.

As news of the discovery spread, the observatory buzzed with excitement. Maria and John became overnight sensations, hailed as pioneers in the field of astrobiology.

Over a celebratory cup of coffee, Maria turned to John with a wry smile. "You know, for an alien-hunting eccentric, you're not too bad."

John grinned, his eyes twinkling. "And for a skeptical scientist, you're not too shabby yourself, Maria."

Together, they gazed up at the starry night sky, their minds echoing with the signal's haunting rhythm - a reminder that they were no longer alone in the universe.

*****

It came up with a little romance and everything.

I did 4 on NightCafe and 4 on Bing- with Bing being the winner. But a lot of them were fairly good.

I'll give that one a try. I like the girl with the frog one the best.

As for my continued project.

I was pleased with that. Giant frogs are another of my go-to themes for testing these guys, and I almost never get good results.

It gave me several very good Mummies, which is generally hard for the AIs.

No characters just experimenting with more artistic ideas. These from the prompt "A regal looking woman with long dark hair in an art nouveau style."

First from NightCafe (best of 4)

From Bing (also best of 4)

From Leonardi (best of 4)

Those are beautiful. The second and third in particular are very artistic.

The bottom one in particular looks very classic Art Nouveau.

I asked for a tree in Art Nouveau style but only Bing made one that I liked.
