Site Re-Directing to TBBS Webring.

Post by Sean »

Title pretty much says it all...this morning was the 3rd or 4th time that the ReNext index page has redirected itself to the TBBS Webring main page. I'm accessing it straight from my bookmarks, like I always have, and this has never happened before. It started right about the time that the "Star Trek Fans Worldwide" banner was added to the bottom of the page. Any particular reason why this is happening? :conf:

Yeah, it has. In fact, it just happened again when I went into the picture Thread. I thought maybe I was accidentally clicking on it because of the lag time as the page loads and the way I impatiently click at things. But it's happened maybe a half dozen times in the past two days. I have the web ring at my store, too, so I hope it's not happening to people there....

It hasn't happened to me, either, but that's probably because I don't have scripts allowed for webring.

It hasn't happened to me since the time I mentioned in my previous Post; perhaps they've fixed it.

Hasn't affected me yet.

Ugh, really? Grr, I'd prefer to keep the webring code on the bottom, but I'm not particularly partial to it. It doesn't generate any traffic for us. I have no problem nuking it. I don't see how it could re-direct this site, unless there's some unfortunate hack going on. :as:

^Well if that's what could cause a re-direct, I'd guess that's as good an explanation as any...it happened twice to me today, not five minutes ago. both times, I had to close the tab and re-open the site, because hitting the back button did no good; the site would just redirect again.

Thank you. I was thinking about checking out the websites Forum at TrekBBS to see if anybody else was having this problem.
