Re: Author's Check-In #7.
Yay! Now I need to go around begging for reviews. I'm so bad at this.

^Not as bad as me!
Time Immemorial has yet to receive any reviews. And most of Alfheim's have not been kind (what few there are).

I've been so bad about marketing this one. I keep hoping I'll get the gumption from somewhere.

Yep, DIS2 appeared for me, too. And I was reminded that I never re-installed Kindle on my PC after all my stuff got wiped.
I didn't do one? Crap, I thought I did. I'll do it this weekend.Lupine wrote:Time Immemorial has yet to receive any reviews. And most of Alfheim's have not been kind (what few there are).
I'll do one. Hopefully. Unless I go completely senile.blablover5 wrote:Yay! Now I need to go around begging for reviews. I'm so bad at this.

Speaking of denouements, I pretty much at that with Diaspora now.blablover5 wrote:I am terrible at denouements. I finish the climax I want the story over! Most of mine are “And they lived."

Put down the last word in My Hope. Tons to edit still, but yay! Also sad that it’s over.

^I know the feeling.
Got some good writing in yesterday... however I'm not sure I like what I got and will probably re-write.

Yup, I got the reviews for Time Immemorial and Dwarves In Space II up today. I could have sworn I did Time Immemorial before, but I could find nothing in my archives.
blab, it looks like they did the same thing to you that they did to me: Confused the sequel with the original. All of the reviews from the first book are there under the second book. I hope my new review didn't replace the original review under the first book.

Got into a bit of a roll today working on Diaspora.

Thanks grapey! I need to go beg for some but I'm at a weird place with that book for no good reason. Someone inject me with happy.RJDiogenes wrote: blab, it looks like they did the same thing to you that they did to me: Confused the sequel with the original. Amazon is batshit. I hope getting ones for 2 will replace the dumbass move by Amazon.

^^ Now volume 1 has the review for volume 2.
They just can't seem to tell similar titles apart. Which is not a good thing when you're in the business of selling books.Lupine wrote:^How did the confusion happen?

You'd think the different ISBNs would tip them off, but no!

Who looks at that stuff?
Re: Author's Check-In #7.
I finally finished Diaspora.
Came in at 103,000 words but that will likely change during editing and re-writes. The book is probably a mess as I stopped part way through due to dad's illness and death. But for now I rest.
