The grass is finally turning back to green. The trees are beginning to bud, with the magnolias getting ready to bloom. The crocus, daffodil, and hyacinths are in full bloom. Spring is finally here!

Still a little bleak here, although there are buds everywhere. But it's been chilly, so that's probably holding them back. I wonder what things will look like at my Mother's house this weekend.

I think I lost the gardenias that I had planted last year. It said this variety would tolerate my zone. I covered the roots and mulched them just in case, but they appear dead. My rhododendron is blooming, and so are the apple trees. Unfortunately, it is going to snow tomorrow, so I hope that this doesn't affect them.

Aw, sorry about the gardenias. Maybe they just need a longer stretch of warm weather to wake up.

Isn't it wonderful? It almost makes enduring the long winters worth it. Almost

Our trees are starting to wake up, too. They should be bursting by the weekend.

Yes, it almost does. I love Spring. The world comes back to life, after being dead for several months.

It actually looks more Spring-like here than it does at my Mother's house. The trees down there are still kind of barren, but the trees on Hancock Street have all blossomed with white petals.

Are trees are all in full bloom, except for the dogwoods. Tiny green leaves are appearing on all of the trees.

Not that the freeze danger has passed, we're planting tomatoes and green beans in our veggie garden this weekend.

We're getting heavy rains today, which means it will be a bit muddy planting our veggies tomorrow. But at least the ground will be soft
