Check-In Thread #81: From Tennessee To Canada
Re: Check-In Thread #81: From Tennessee To Canada
1) Easily fixed, thanks to my absolutely brilliant and wonderful boss.
2) Yes, ceiling paper. The paper that goes on ceilings, like wallpaper goes on walls. It had started coming adrift due to the water coming in from the loft in March, and finally gave up trying to stay attached today.

^^ Absurd brilliance is the best kind of brilliance.
Happy Chewsday, all.
Glad to see ReNext working for me again. I tried unsuccessfully to post last night for an hour, getting an "Unknown Host" error over and over again. So I went out and purchased a week's worth of survival supplies (roughly 12 shopping bags of chocolate) only to see that we're fine today. What a shame that I now have to eat all these excess provisions.
Hope y'all have a great day.

LOL and there I thought I was the worst chocolate addict ever
Are you going to paper the ceiling yourself?
I can relate to the ceiling paper. The heat exhausted it so that it got all limp.Jim Gamma wrote: It had started coming adrift due to the water coming in from the loft in March, and finally gave up trying to stay attached today.

The Fringe Fest sounds fun.
Work was crazy, yesterday. We could have used a third person to answer the phones. We still have not found an assistant. By coincidence, the temp agency is sending one of my friends to temp for us, today.
I began packing for my mini vacation, last night. I cannot wait to get out of here for a few days.

The only way you may correct the bad things in your past is to add better things to your future.

Huggle: No, we're getting someone in for that. There are a few more loose bits as well to shore up.

Oh, huggle, you have no idea. When they autopsy me one day, the coroner will proclaim, "Good God! This man's entire interior is solid chocolate!"huggle wrote:LOL and there I thought I was the worst chocolate addict ever

Good morning, friends, Romans, and countrymen.
Might have a leaky pipe under the house which will have to be fixed today. Will have to run to the local market/hardware store for parts.

Sleeping in hot weather is miserable. I have a bedside fan I keep on me most summer nights.RJDiogenes wrote:Well, that was a hot night. I feel like a limp noodle.

Good evening, everyone.
Gasp.

Interesting. I don't think we do that here. I've never heard of anyone doing it, anyway. Although suddenly my ceilings seem oddly naked.Jim Gamma wrote:2) Yes, ceiling paper. The "unknown host" thing just means that something is going on at Yahoo, like maintenance or stupidity. The only errors we have to worry about are the SQL errors, because that means the database is damaged and in need of repair.scottydog wrote:Glad to see ReNext working for me again. Yeah, luckily the nights will be in 60s for the next while.Lupine wrote:Sleeping in hot weather is miserable. I have a bedside fan I keep on me most summer nights.

Good morning, everyone.
Well, it's cooled off quite a bit, but it was still hot most of the night. I hope I don't fall asleep at my keyboard today.

Wow, I just saw the news about that huge fire in London. Jim posted earlier today on Terran, so we know he's okay. I wonder how near it is to him.
