The first manned SpaceX mission to the ISS was to be today, but it's been delayed due to bad weather, as launches almost inevitably are. The next window is Saturday afternoon.

Hope they can get it launched.

Fingers crossed. This could be a critical juncture for space travel.

Less than an hour to go and the weather looks mighty iffy.

Now it's a go, and in less than a half hour!

They're off!

Whoo! They've switched to the second stage. About four more minutes to orbit.

They're safely in space! Whew!

Yeah, I watched it on TV before I had to run some errands. No matter how many launches I've seen, it never loses its thrill.

It was wonderful. And I was noticing how futuristic the capsule and the spacesuits look. It was like watching a movie.

^Very impressive. Though footage like this should be taken with some trepidation since the added frames, no matter how well done, could inadvertently alter some things.

[RJDiogenes]

That's pretty amazing, like a CGI animation program filling in the movements between key frames. He could probably create a similar program that repairs damaged or faded film, if enough information exists collectively in all the frames.

The AI could certainly generate errors, though, so you'd probably want human editors to look over the final result and tweak the algorithms if needed.
