good morning =)
hug your cat day? That explains it!! My neighbour has 3 cats and yesterday evening when I stepped out to the terrace the shyest of them greeted me enthusiastically. I was completely baffled since ususually she runs and hides.

Our broken things thread will soon get so big that it may break.
Don't worry - my contract guarantees me unlimited serverspace. :D

5:30 and it's already starting to get hot - ugh! I fear that in the afternoon when I come home from work I'll have to try whether this buttermilk-lemon icecream I made on Sunday is as palatable as I thought it might be *plugs in halo*.

GM.
I thought Brits used the word holiday?
i wouldnt know - i have friends all over the planet and consider myself multicultural, not ' a brit'...lots of things have a dozen names and i just use whatever i want. like with slaters - theyre also known as pill bugs woodlice roll ups...i forget which name is which country's prefered choice and just call em what i call em.

Morning all!

The word 'vacation' is becoming more common here, though there are plenty of stalwarts still trying to block the encroachment of American English on our shores. That, I think, is a ship that sailed long ago. You're more likely to hear 'holiday' or 'break' still, or 'leave' in relation to time off work, but it's coming in slowly.

Training someone today in the role I left 2 years ago. Should be an easy run, I did a dry run yesterday to check for any data issues we'd need to analyse, and got green lights across the board. :) That means I can show them how it should work if the in-month processes have been followed scrupulously. :)

Good morning, everyone. :hello:

I feel especially sleepy this morning, for some reason.

Definitely NOT polite. Like I said, I want to get people's attention to either wake up or pay attention.
Oh, I see. More like weaponized.

Then I paid a couple of bills. Not all of them, of course. And now I'm figuring out how to stretch my EBT $$ - all $15.00 of it. Still applying for jobs. Looks like I'm gonna have to go out from place to place leaving a copy of my resume.
I wish you could find a job. Are there any local organizations that can help? :(

Maybe somebody gave her catnip instead of a hug. :wiggle: :loopy:

Speaking of the server, I posted a question for you in the Picture Thread about a weird popup that emma is having when she comes here. And she can't see pictures and she can't post.

I support the stalwarts! Do we really want words such as "bigly" and "covfefe" creeping into the language?

Hope everyone here has a great day

Good morning!

Yesterday, was a hectic day. I'm hoping today will be busy, but not crazy.

RJ, the movie is about the band, Queen.

My cookies didn't turn out great aesthetically, I messed up my cream because I was silly and chilled it so I couldn't spread it out properly. I can't eat them either because just WAY too much sugar and I'll get ever so dreadfully sick. Maple cream.

By Jove, I think that the British ought to hang on to their traditional modes of expression. It's their culture, by George! The King's English, and all that, eh wot?

Oh, that should be good. Freddie Mercury was quite an amazing character.

Good evening. :hello:

Nice looking cookies! Yum.

Didn't do much today. Cleaned up in the kitchen, ran the dishwasher.

I was making my shopping list when I realized that I'm low on coffee. Then, as soon as I thought about coffee, I wanted to make a pot. Kinda late in the day for that, but I don't think I care. :loopy:

Or too much chocolate, too much caramel, too much ice cream, and too much of anything bad for us!

GM. well they LOOK delicious, Lyanna - though i probably wouldnt eat them as i am 95% vegan and eat a low wheat diet. I gardened, shopped, read, cleaned, read...and got paid for two of those. today i am starting off down the plot with watering/planting out leeks....and ending with vegan pizza after my cleaning job this evening - in between = 'who knows'.
