Questions Only V: Where's The Beef?

Wouldn't it be fascinating to speak to Thomas Jefferson on any topic, but most especially his relationship with Sally Hemings?

Wouldn't it be fascinating to ask him if he really was in a competition with John Adams to see who could avoid dying first?

Isn't that a competition we all have with everyone?

What question might you ask Paul Revere?

"How do you like that poem?"

[scottydog]

I wonder how he'd answer that? How about Ben Franklin -- what might you ask him?

[RJDiogenes]

"Why were you never president?"

[scottydog]

I always wondered that myself. Who are some of the smart and wise people today who don't pursue leadership positions?

Isn't it sad that I can't think of anyone in particular?

[scottydog]

Wasn't George Washington an example of someone who didn't seek power yet was coaxed into assuming power?

[RJDiogenes]

That reminds me of a presidential candidate who I wrote in: Do you remember Wesley Clark?

[scottydog]

This Wesley Clark? What did you like about him?

[RJDiogenes]

Isn't he exactly what we need: An intelligent, levelheaded, independent thinker, with no allegiance to any political party, and who is both an honored military veteran and a compassionate, involved civilian?

[scottydog]

With all those things going for him, why do you suppose he's unlikely ever to ascend to the Presidency?

[RJDiogenes]

Don't you think he'd be overshadowed by all the younger and flashier candidates at this point, especially since he was overshadowed by flashier candidates back then?
