Does wisdom necessarily come with age?

Wisdom and age are no doubt correlated but very imperfectly. Trump is a striking example. What do you suppose stopped him from becoming wiser as he grew older?

Do you think he may have some sort of mental deficit?

Would that mean that the 63 million people who voted for Trump also have a mental deficit?

Doesn't humanity have a long history of voting for lunatics?

Can you name some other Trump-like lunatics who have won in democratic elections?

Was he really elected? For some reason I thought he was appointed, but I don't know my 1920s German history.

Is it an inability or merely an inadequacy?
(He was appointed chancellor and later elected president, then declared himself fuhrer, if I remember right.)

Have you read any of Yuval Noah Harari's books yet?
He's an historian and there's no doubt that his knowledge of history gives him great clarity about what's going on today.

Is it possible that I'm unable to read Yuval Noah Harari's books because they teach history?

Is it odd that I thought so at the time, but now I think they were actually pretty good?

Given that there have been plenty of villainous leaders throughout history, why are people today still unable to recognize a villain when they see one?
