Isn't it better to have one, mother of all addictions, going all in, in lieu of a dozen dull, puny, ill-developed addictions?

Do you think specialization is a good thing for society, or not?

Wouldn't it be ideal for society to have a good balance of specialists with great depth and polymaths with great breadth?

What would happen if everyone specialized in polymathery?

Polymathistism?

Is it possible that Yuval Noah Harari is one of the world's top polymaths?

And have you begun to read his books yet?

Is there anybody who specializes in ranking polymaths?

I have read bits and pieces of Harari's books, but haven't had a chance to dig in yet.

What would be the best way to tell if someone is indeed a polymath? Would they do well playing Jeopardy?

Given the nearly infinite number of unique interests in the human experience, wouldn't every polymath be unique?

Besides Isaac Asimov, who have been your favorite polymaths of the past century?

Arthur C Clarke and Ray Bradbury to name a couple, but aren't all Science Fiction writers polymaths?

What makes sci-fi writers more likely to be polymaths as compared to writers in other genres?

Don't they need all that polymathery for their world-building and to properly extrapolate the discoveries and inventions in their stories?
