And I hit the 2000 subscriber limit on Mailchimp. I never thought that would happen. Crap.

It's not that much fun as I have to either purge some subscribers or start paying. I'm going the purge route for now.

That's still pretty impressive.

Looks like I'm disqualified from Leprechaun Porn, because one of the requirements is having a book published in the Romance genre. I wrote back, "Looks like I'm out of luck-- no pun intended," but received no sign that they were amused.

I knew you needed to have a book published, didn't know it had to be romance.

I worked on a new promo for Squire Hayseed.

I'm hoping to get to 5k this evening. Just writing a bit that should be a complete shock. :) Two down, a third nearly went with them...

4,737 words today, two chapters. Currently standing at 57,654 words total, 22 chapters plus prologue. That last chapter was a little... fraught.

Cool. You should work in the other two taglines from the first one.

Son of Krampus got rejected, which I expected.

But the publisher asked if I could still write something else for them, which I didn’t expect. Hm...

I emailed back the editor and she's excited about two of my other book ideas. So I guess the next time I sit down to write, I'll have to keep that word count in check.

That sounds very promising. You shouldn't worry about word count, though. You can always publish the Director's Cut later if they give you a limit on length, like Stephen King did with The Stand.
