Good morning!
Another day at work, and another evening at the hospital.

Happy Chewsday, everyone
Today's my heavy teaching day. I hope to be able to sneak in a late afternoon nap around 4:30
My daughter's in Munich, Germany right now performing with her band. I think this is their 4th or 5th European tour in the past 2 years.
Hope y'all have a great day

Re: Check-In Thread #95: Americium Interstate Dogme
Good morning everyone.
So I got my essential bills paid. I even had a couple of dollars left over! Enough to get some coffeemate and some bottled water. But, alas! Today I find I'm all out of light bulbs. I only have one working bulb. And the batteries died in my home blood pressure thingie. Egad! It's always something, as Gilda Radner used to say.
Cayla, my dad was hospitalized more than once for diverticulitis. They'd keep him long enough to get it settled and send him home. He never needed surgery, thank goodness.
Other than bulbs and batteries, things are moving along at the usual pace in the jgc household.

Good morning, all and welcome to the Year of the Pig!
Nothing much happening here, other than the wind.
Hope you can get some light bulbs, jgc.

Does that give me the green light to eat more bacon?
Until now, I had no idea that diverticulitis could be so serious

Good evening, everyone.
I heard that Julie Adams from The Creature From The Black Lagoon has died.
I heard that Julie Adams from The Creature From The Black Lagoon has died.
I hope all is well. Have they said when he is coming home?
New York, London, Paris, Munich.....
I never remember to get light bulbs until I'm all out and have to get dressed by the light of my iPhone.
Happy Pig Year.
There are worse things, but it's definitely not something you want to have.

Actually, no. Which is surprising given how many movies I watch. It even won Best Picture (or was nominated).

GM. I know two people who have diverticulitis - one suffers painfully and runs to the Doc frequently - the other controls it with dietary changes and only suffers rarely.
hope that light bulb lasts til your next payday, jcg - are there are places you can go in emergency for 'essentials' like food packages and light globes if not that you could pop into to help tide you over? that time i didnt get income for 20 weeks, i had to go to a couple to have help paying my bills/providing essentials and food to my son.
no plans for today. yesterday i cooked a Losar meal (NO bacon!!) chardonnay - crusty garlic giant dinner roll, brocoli-mushroom-zuchini bake with vegan battered prawns, gooseberries in port wine with brown custard, and mint/cinnamon Losar cookie!

Good morning, everyone.
Just another manic Wednesday.

You should definitely catch it. I don't bother much with contemporary movies, but that one was really good.
That all sounds good. Well, I've never had gooseberries, but the rest sounds good.Madeliaette wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 6:29 amno plans for today. yesterday i cooked a Losar meal (NO bacon!!) chardonnay - crusty garlic giant dinner roll, brocoli-mushroom-zuchini bake with vegan battered prawns, gooseberries in port wine with brown custard, and mint/cinnamon Losar cookie!

Good morning!
Ron is supposed to come home today. I'm glad, as I would like to spend my evenings at home, instead of at the hospital. He already informed me that he is going to work this afternoon.
Yesterday, he gave me a tour of the hospital floor. Then he offered to go to the pantry to make me a cup of tea, or bring me a snack. He doesn't do this at home.
I'll go to work and wait for him to call. I may or may not go back to work, depending on the time they release him.

Happy Wednesday, all
Just a few meetings today, nothing exciting.
RJ, I'll try to watch Shape of Water this weekend. Cayla, glad to hear Ron is coming home. Maddy, not sure I want a Loser meal -- are there Winner meals?

Good morning, all.
Have a dental appointment today. As for the moment I'm trying to get the house warmed up before my aunt gets up. With the wind last night the temp inside the house dropped to 43 this morning.
Glad Ron is getting to come home.
