Set up the appointment for gas service to be active next week. All that's left is water & trash. Anyway, I will be living in there by Memorial Day with 90% of my stuff moved. I will now refer to my houses as "country house" and "city house". Some items will be left for my friend/tenant, such as tools, so we (yes, we) can do work on the country house so it will meet the appraisal. After that, he'll be coming to the city house to help me with some changes I want to make.RJDiogenes wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 8:28 am
So you'll be actually living in your new house as of June 1st?Gary wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 2:24 amU-haul truck is reserved for pickup next Thursday. Insurance cutover for the car is next Tuesday; insurance for the new house takes effect next Tuesday (which is also the closing); and insurance for my existing house, which will be leased, takes effect 6/1. I scheduled power to be cut at my existing house on the 28th, which is the end of the billing cycle, while electricity to the new house takes effect next Tuesday. The next two challenges will be water & trash along with gas. Getting Internet set up for the new house should be a breeze. I'm hoping the lawyer will have the lease and sales contract ready soon.
It's all working so well that I have a bundle of nerves running through me.
