Hyperlight 11 chapter 3 is done. :) I decided to keep what I'd done for the first two chapters rather than starting over. This is going to be slow, especially with the Fringe in the middle, but hopefully I'll have it to Rick by end-September.

No word from Analog yet, so at least I'm not getting an instant reject like the last two.

Fingers crossed. That would be a great place to get published.

I also had the anthology I was submitting Reefcake to get canceled so I'm putting that one out on my own. Slated for September 24th. Yay, more work.

Aw, bummer. I wonder why it got cancelled. Not a shortage of submissions, I'm sure.

I did get your birthday story and will read it, by the way (and you are in the Birthday Thread, also by the way).

A shortage of submissions was exactly why. Too many with not enough authors who had time.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected a shortage these days, with so many venues being overwhelmed with submissions.

This was just to one an author was putting together, not the publisher's anthology.

Oh, I see. That's interesting, because I was thinking of doing something like that.

I read blab's birthday story, which is an excerpt from Dwarves In Space IV (which was DIS III when I read it). I'm now working on a WIP by a poster at Terran, and then on to the next Hyperlight, and then Murder The World, The Director's Cut. My dance card is full.

I did notice that it had your alter ego's name on it.
