Check-In #99: Indian, Islamic, Hungarian Clone & Agent

Even wilder and wackier than pre-crash Miscellaneous, the survivors talk about the weather, puppies, work, and coffee.

Good morning, all.

Good day at the faire. It was rather warm bu too much so. A little bittersweet towards the end of the day as the crowds faded and knowing that this was probably it. :bye:
At some point this week we'll have to go up for tear down, though that will likely take several treks up there.

^^ We'll take that as a yes.
Lupy posted some pics on FB but I'm not sure if any of the women were Laina.
No. She spent most of the weekend hanging with her boyfriend and not doing fairy stuff.

Our other house guest left at the end of July. She came Friday night to pack up the rest ofher things. When Lisa showed up for her nap on Saturday, she was upset that everything she had been using was gone. She told my husband that she couldn't believe the other gal took everything including the TV. Um, it was her stuff and TV, not Lisa's. She also was upset about "the mess she left". Um, it is Lisa's stuff that is making the mess. Then she went as far as saying, "I'm going to have to rethink this living in basement thing". Um, she has to be out by Saturday. I plan to start tossing her stuff into black garbage bags, so that we can begin scrubbing and putting the basement back together. We have plans redo the bedroom down there. New paint, new bedding, new furniture.
This is why I don't take on house guests.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that on the way up to the faire I saw a herd of Bighorn sheep! Couldn't get a pic, but I'll be on the lookout for them now.

Good evening, everyone. :hello:

So I just found out that the Big Y next door is closing. Apparently they couldn't come to terms when renewing their lease. The closest other supermarket is Super Stop'n'Shop, which I can see from my house but is a ten-minute drive thanks to the railroad tracks. And the location next to Big Y, which used to be Rite Aid, is apparently going to be an Asian seafood restaurant.

When is the intern coming, in September?

That sounds great. Will you rent it out again?
Have you forgotten about the Slovakian gentleman?

Hmm. I wonder what the Boss Fairy thinks of that.

Groovy. I'd love to see a picture of that.

It's been a quiet day. I got a little writing done and I go Marianne Williamson's book in the mail on Politics and Love. Should be interesting reading.

Do you think there's any chance that the Faire can go on? I hope so.

So all these years you've been able to walk next door to do your grocery shopping? Wow. Sucks that you now have to drive 10 minutes

Good morning!

Another day of work. That is all I have planned for the day. Two more days until the doctor is gone for a week and a half. :D He was tolerable, yesterday.

Yes, I will have the Slovakian Gentleman for about 3 weeks. I want to adopt him. He has expressed wanting to come live in the United States, once he finishes school in two years. We do not plan to rent again, or let anyone else live with us for the time being. I would like to have my basement fixed up by the holidays, so that I might host Christmas Eve for the in-laws. We would have the space for everyone if we have the kitchen, bath, and living room in the basement available.
The only way you may correct the bad things in your past is to add better things to your future.

Glad to hear you'll get your basement back, and no more drama with renters. I'm envious that you have a basement -- it's something I wish we had. For some reason, very few homes in Richmond have basements.

Good morning, all. :coffee:

Later today I do have to get back up to Big Bear to start tear down. I'm hoping to see the Bighorn sheep again. :camera:

So he's only here for three weeks and then he goes home for two years to finish school? How old is he?

It's tough finding the space so we have to be creative. For example, a Slovakian Gentleman's body had to serve as Halloween decoration out on our front porch.

Well, we do have a large attic and in the summer it must climb to 200 degrees up there. Definite mummification potential.

They must be out searching for Little Bo Peep. Or, since they're Bighorns, maybe they're looking for Large Bo Peep.
