She made that? That's fantastic. I don't suppose there's a higher res scan. And what happened to that story?
Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
She's been writing it on and off most of her life. I transcribed a good deal of it. Not sure she'll do anything with it. As for the map it's a little too big to scan.

^^ Incredible. He's got a super-duper telephoto lens. Maddie's gonna love those.
Is she close to finished? Is she interested in self publishing?
Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
Great shots!
From the stuff I've transcribed for her, what she has can be broken into a series of books- if I could convince her to actually work more on it. But I can't convince her to writing down her experiences as a photographer in the 60s.RJDiogenes wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 6:55 pmIs she close to finished? Is she interested in self publishing?

That's really a shame. I'm sure she has great stories to tell, and that should be remembered.

Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
Thank you. Nope, not a fire, just clouds and sunset.
Thank you. Yep, as cold as it gets, for really cool (no pun intended) evening shots, this is the best time of year.RJDiogenes wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 10:53 pmWow, those are beautiful. The sky is perfectly set off by the silhouettes of the bare trees.
Sunset, sailors delight.RJDiogenes wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 10:53 pmAnd if it's sunrise then it's a good thing there are no sailors in that neck of the woods.
Thank you, Madeliaette.
I can see the Pileated woodpecker! We had one visit here last year. I know they are destructive, but I am hoping it comes back and makes a home here.
Same for me.Madeliaette wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 4:06 pmYour images are cming out as the word IMAGE a nd not as pics,
The fungi looks like Tremella.

This woodpecker usually goes after bugs living in dead trees. Have you seen them hurt living trees?
Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
If you can hunt down my Facebook page. I link from the pics there.Elara wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 5:08 amSame for me.Madeliaette wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 4:06 pmYour images are cming out as the word IMAGE a nd not as pics,

Nice picture. I love all the little heads poking out.
They're all "image" now for me, too. Looks like Facebook expired them again.
Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
It's just so much easier to link to Facebook than mess with an image site.

Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
Maddie couldn't see my three big pics of Richmond birds and they were linked to Facebook images. Who knows what's going on
Re: The Picture Thread X... marks the spot.
New pics via Facebook. Get them while you can.
