Yeah, I don't usually post movies that recent, but where it was set in the 20s, was a fictionalized account of making Nosferatu, and actually homaged silent films in its filmmaking style, I figured it was appropriate. I put it in my Shopping Cart and I'll probably get it for myself after Christmas.

Who says that death, murder, bloodletting, and cosmic horror can't be hilarious? Certainly not us at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Double Feature. As far as we're concerned, nothing tickles our funnybone as much as a boneyard and nothing makes us laugh our head off as much decapitation. Our theme this week is "Humor In A Jugular Vein." The concession stand will be serving corny dogs and nose milk. And donuts.

Haven't seen (or heard) of either of these. But Blood and Donuts has a title worth the price of admission alone. The Last Lovecraft looks pretty good though (and some of the desert terrain looks pretty familiar).

Yeah, that title really caught my eye. I'm surprised they released it with something so non commercial.

Ho ho ho! Yes, we here at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Multiple Feature enjoy the holiday season as much as anyone else, so sit back with us and enjoy our marathon of holiday features. Don't worry, there will be monsters and creatures galore, because you can't have shows without monsters and creatures! Our theme this week is "Deathly Silent Night." The concession stand will be serving chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate. Yes, we have some mixed messages going on here.

Grew up with most of those. I'm not sure I ever saw the Muppets one, though that would be surprising considering I've consumed almost everything Muppet.
There's another odd one called The Life and Adventures of Santa Clause from 1985 that I remember finding interesting. Oddly I can't find a trailer for it.

I remember that one. It was written by Frank Baum. We need a Santa Claus and Wizard of Oz crossover.
Re: Sea Creature Lounge- The Art of the Film
I'm surprised Santa never showed up on Once Upon A Time. Weird that he can turn on on Doctor Who but not OUAT.

Now that you mention it, that would have been pretty cool. They should have done that.
Re: Sea Creature Lounge- The Art of the Film
He even showed up in The Chronicles of Narnia for cricky's sake!

Not to mention The Twilight Zone. And, technically, the RJ-verse.

And so the year 2023 limps weakly toward its conclusion, but that doesn't mean we can't have a few more space aliens and supernatural creatures. We here at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Double Feature firmly believe in ushering out the old and ringing in the new with complete insanity. Our theme this week is "Auld Lang Syne Gang Aft Agly." The concession stand will be serving Chinese food and champagne.

Well, Alien Blood really looks like a high-budget offering. And I'm pretty sure the trailer is using some of that music without permission.
As for Bloody New Year, it's definitely bloody.

Alien Blood looks oddly subdued for a Troma film. Bloody New Year looks pretty nuts.

Re: Sea Creature Lounge- The Art of the Film
Architecture is an interesting topic. We here at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Double Feature have a particular fondness for old and ancient buildings. Like castles, for example. Impressive edifices of stone, they are monuments to man's ingenuity, creativity, craftsmanship, and resourcefulness. They are also frequently the sites of murder, torture, chaos, and supernatural mischievousness. Our theme this week is "Malice in the Palace, Infidel in the Citadel, Hassle in the Castle." The concession stand will be serving a feast fit for a king!
