The topic of Ancient Egypt always excites the imagination and has provided the source material for many a Horror movie. We here at the Sea Creature Lounge Drive-In Creature Double Feature have extensively researched this subject and can guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that this week's movies are ridiculously inconsistent with all known facts regarding Ancient Egyptian history. Our theme this week is "So Let It Be Written, So Let It Be Dumb." The concession stand will be serving grape leaves and beer.

Haven't seen either of these. Love Brides of the Blood Mummy (AKA le Sang des Autres, AKA The Blood Of Others, AKA Lips of Blood) looks like a good old-fashioned Hammer-esque slock fest.
Bloodsucking Pharaohs in Pittsburgh is worth it just for the title alone.

Some people these days harbor some anxiety about the growth of AI. However, in their trepidation about the potential dangers of inhuman machine intelligences, they neglect to consider the parallel developments in robotics-- which makes things really terrifying. Our theme this week is "Exterminate! Exterminate!" The concession stand will be heading for the hills.

Haven't seen either of these but Chopping Mall seems familiar, but possibly only because Agents of SHIELD did a riff of it in it's final season.

Chopping Mall does seem very familiar, though I'm sure I haven't seen it. Maybe just because it's so thoroughly 80s.

The Unfathomable Ocean. The Deep Blue Sea. The Pond. The Drink. Davy Jones's Locker. The most mysterious area on the planet. Today, 95% of it remains unexplored. Back in the 80s, it was 95.1%. The movies we have in the queue reveal the shocking truth of that .1%! Our theme this week is "Water at the Bottom of the Ocean." The concession stand will be serving steamed clams and aggrieved shrimp.

I haven't seen The Abyss in years. We used to have it on VHS before all the "Director's Cuts" and "Special Editions". Pretty good film- at least in the theatrical edition.
Not familiar with Leviathan, though with the flurry of underwater flicks of the time it hard to tell one from the other.

I've actually never seen either one, although The Abyss does look kind of interesting now that I see the giant glowing jellyfish. Gives it almost a 2001 feeling.

Things haven't been going well in outer space lately. Spaceships keep landing upside down or all akimbo. But we should count our blessings that there have at least been no space monsters or insufferable children. Until now, that is. Our theme this week is "Never Work With Children Or Extraterrestrials." The concession stand will be serving Unhappy Meals.

I saw Spacehunter- or parts of it- years ago. Don't remember much about it.
I haven't seen Space Raider beyond the VFX they "borrowed" from Battle Beyond the Stars.

Spacehunter looks like it might be fun-- but I just can't abide the kid in Space Raiders.

Pulp Adventure! Heroic Action! Daring Exploits! The epitome of Human Culture! But, sadly, there are those who do not take these achievements seriously. There are even some who would dare to parody these quintessential human virtues. Our theme this week is "Holy Campiness, Batman." The concession stand will be serving gummies to kill the pain.

I don't know whether Doc Savage is idiotic or brilliant. :veryhappy:
However I have seen Buckaroo Bonsai and it is idiotic and brilliant.

Unfortunately, Doc Savage was made in the wake of the Batman TV series, so it was campy-- but only halfheartedly, so it ended up neither here nor there.
