You can have my Oxford comma when you pry it from my cold, dead, and lifeless hands.

I remember that. Sadly I rarely got to watch the movie that was coming up as it would air at 9:00 and I had to go to bed as it was a school night.

Here's another bit of nostalgia.

Even commercials back in the day were better than a lot of what's on now.

^I came across that the other day. Looks like the colorization was done with AI- which funnily enough makes it look like the old attempts at colorization. Specifically Doctor X.

Metropolis is still a cinematic masterpiece.

That's pretty amazing, for the most part-- it's funny, though, that they can't seem to repair the damage on those found clips. It does remind me of the kind of pastel tones of Doctor X.

I wonder if they will next develop lip-reading software that will turn silent movies into talkies.

Robo Maria's dancing scene is definitely one of the highlights, although also somewhat comical with all the exaggerated reactions.

You'd be surprised how many things I haven't seen that a normal person my age should have seen

I wonder if those exaggerated facial reactions were deliberate or just an instance of overacting or poor acting.

^A style of the time actually. Movies were relatively new and most people were accustomed to acting on stage where exaggerated movements and expressions were needed to convey their emotions to a live audience.
