Apparently the little moon is a contact binary. Just amazing stuff. I can't wait to see what's lurking out there in the Jovian Lagrange Zones. :D

The question is, can we or should we require everyone to use these materials. I'm kind of surprised we haven't abolished or severely limited the use of plastic by now.

The weird materials being used to make sustainable furniture.

I'm surprised by the continued use of plastic too as there are more than a few viable options already.

Probably has to do with cost and infrastructure and ability to meet demand. Also, the alternatives probably don't have the track record that plastics have.

This has been a bad week for Moon landings. The commercial US flight had engine troubles and had to be de-orbited into the ocean. Today, the Japanese lander made a successful soft landing and everything seems fine-- except for the solar panel, which means just a few hours of life unless they can get it fixed.

Makes me wonder who will be the first human to die on the moon.

And if you buried a body on the moon, would it ever decompose?

^Probably not as that would require bacteria. You'd probably desiccate and become... wait for it.... A Moon Mummy!

Which really should be turned into a movie, or at least a short story. :grape:

Hmm. It seems to be wearing some kind of ring. And why is the Moon in the sky of the Moon?

Must be a Disney character-- this is what they do to their characters who fall into the public domain.

Looks like we'll soon be getting translations for the Herculaneum Scrolls, or at least relatively soon, thanks to AI. This will no doubt lead to major discoveries and insights about the ancient world, and likely the recovery of lost literature and poetry as well.

I've been hearing something about this. We'll see how good the AI is.
