And Captain Janeway's brutal, brutal smack-down of fear itself. Or as one commenter put it "Janeway scared fear to death".

Here's the powerful ending to DS9's The Visitor. It gets me every time.

"The Visitor" is my favorite DS9 episode. The best thing about the show was the relationship between Sisko and Jake. I always had the feeling that someone had the idea of taking the next step from Roddenberry's "Wagon Train to the stars" and based DS9 on The Rifleman.
