The Sawtooth Ridge in North Lucerne.
That's beautiful.
Off roaders.'
Lotsa people.
A Monastery out there.
That's interesting. How long has it been there? It looks like they're doing some renovations or something. Makes me wonder again who owns all that desert.
And some video showing the panorama of the valley.
Wow, that's really nice.

Yesterday was really the first warm day we've had so it's a little early for wildflowers.
It does look pretty green, though.

I haven't identified this specimen yet.
Wouldn't it be cool if you discovered a new species? :D
Took me while to ID this one as it looked so odd. But I eventually found it was very likely the head of an Olenellus gilberti, native to California.
It just makes me think how many of those things must have been swarming around back then. I'd love to be able to go back and take a look.

It's been there for quite awhile but they're always adding to it.
As for the desert, some parts are privately owned but a lot of it is BLM.

Very interesting. An isolated monastery in the desert would make for an interesting story element. :book:

^ easier to hold the camera and stand and wait for resurfacing...less fuffing about.
the green yogi-people statues are covered in flies....theyre one of around 100 sculptures by a south african guy - i prefer the local art showings sculptures myself.

^^ It's a great necklace. Somehow it looks like a thousand-year-old arrowhead.
