ill try to get some more poics today. when i go out they are all jumping about partying....but due to cats scariung therm and mistretaing them, they all dive down when they hear anyone approach.i might be able to stanbd out there after creeping up and wait 5 mins tiol they resurface.
You could set up the camera to record video and leave it alone for a few minutes. Then you could pull stills from the video.

Since the new Catalytic Converter needed to be driven around, we decided to do a small picture safari.

This place was profiled by TV's Andrew Zimmern on once of his shows.

^^ Those are great pics. Someone should really plant vineyards on those sloping hillsides. I think you have the ideal climate for making great wine -- hot summers, mild winters.

I never cease to be amazed by that countryside. I want to go out there and make an old-school Sci-Fi movie. But what I really want to do first is investigate those caves.

This is so cool. I'm sorry to see that it's been vandalized. And I'm very intrigued by the Apple Valley Optimist Club. :cooldude:

Groovy. You could make some Wild Wine. That could be a pretty good side hustle. :strangebrew:

Those hills are riddled with them, though many aren't that deep. Near the highway one of the homes there put chairs and a table in one of them.

Wow, I can just imagine sitting at the mouth of a rocky cave in the desert at night. That would be fantastic. Assuming there are no large predators that would kill me.

Scotty mentioning that I should become a famous photographer of the High Desert reminded me of a pic I took last week.

Wow. The only time I can see that far is if I look straight up.

Cool pic, Lupy. I expected to see some spring wildflowers growing from the rain you got earlier.

Yesterday was really the first warm day we've had so it's a little early for wildflowers.

My new fossils.

Image
I haven't identified this specimen yet.

Image
Trilobite.

Image
Took me while to ID this one as it looked so odd. But I eventually found it was very likely the head of an Olenellus gilberti, native to California.
