Here's a Time Magazine article conveying more alarmist stuff about AI causing an extinction level event.

And AI going to cause an Extinction Level Event how exactly?
Of course these are the same people who thought cloning was going to destroy the world and we'd be up to our hips in dinosaurs and Hitlers by now. But in the end it would be very simple to defeat AI.

I like how they recommend making AI above a certain level illegal. I'm sure the Russkies and the Chinese will voluntarily follow our guidelines.

I've lost track of all the times the human race has gone extinct in my lifetime alone.

In happier news, I've managed to bring another character to life. This definitely did not come as easily as the Spacious Skies characters, but finally we have....

He's got some weary gravitas.

That came out good.

This is really nice. The character, the clothes, and the background have a real exotic look. The alien bird with the butt wings is a nice touch.

Not (yet) any character from my books but a nice image.

Looking back at some of our early attempts the AI does seem to be improving.

Very cool. It has kind of a Fredric Remington vibe.

I've still got some stuff that I've archived since they first appeared. It's absolutely uncanny the progress that's been made.

I did use a different setting for that one. I have been using the preset "Night Cafe" setting but this time I used the "artist portrait" setting.

Meanwhile...

This looks like the consummate phallic symbol  Does that say more about you or about me? :guffaw:

I don't even want to think about the perspective that would turn that into a phallic symbol.

StarryAI has some settings for specific artists. Some are more successful than others.

Very nice. Did you specify that desert area in the prompt?
