Infirmary Thread #21: Say "Aaargh!!"

Even wilder and wackier than pre-crash Miscellaneous, the survivors talk about the weather, puppies, work, and coffee.

The cough/cold I've got can do that on its own. :(
Aw, man. Guzzle some Nyquil and slip into a healing coma. When do you leave?

So quiet. Well, I can fix that. ;)

Okay, so a couple of weeks ago, I found out I have a break in the side of my boots, both of them have cracked. Things aren't cheap! Anyway, I discovered this because a stick went right into the side of my left boot. I pulled it out and went right on working. Took off my boots and socks later, and my left sock was stuck to my foot. Yep, the stick went into my foot a bit, just stabbed into the skin, but enough to cause it to bleed. No picture for Scotty. But wait...

A couple of days ago, while working on the new raised bed, I slipped, and got my pinky smushed between two blocks. Got pics! Still keeping a bandage on that. And yesterday, had a Achenbach's syndrome episode in my thumb, also a picture.

Pinky and blocks:

Okay, I hear test booms, gotta run!

Good God. You do realize that normal people don't impale their feet with sticks, right?

Actually, this happens to me, too. It's like my fingers just sort of naturally gravitate to the crevasse between two hard, heavy objects

Again I say Good God. Have you always had Achenbach's syndrome? We really do need a new syndrome called Elara's Syndrome

I have been dealing with severe plantar fasciitis, since March. I really do not want to get a cortisone shot. I'm not sure of why I did not think of it prior, but I purchased a splint to wear at night. Last night was the first night...50% improvement this morning. Hopefully, this will work, as the physical therapy is not.

I'm glad the splint is working. Strange that the PT is not.

Glad the splint is working. Maybe it's time to try a different PT. They really do differ widely from each other.
