Your Favorite TV Themes!
What could be more nostalgic than your favorite TV themes? Lots of things, but let's stay on topic.
As discussed in the Check-In Thread:
Mission: Impossible.
Hawaii Five-0.
And one more for good luck:
Perry Mason
I get a kick out of this version because they inexplicably have the prosecution and the defense all squeezed in at the same table.

Re: Your Favorite TV Themes!
Those are 3 of my favorite TV theme songs from yesteryear
I remember every high school band in the 70s playing Hawaii-Five-0's theme song.
Here's another classic:
The theme song to 60 Minutes.
I just can't get that song out of my head

The Rockford Files full length theme.
You can have my Oxford comma when you pry it from my cold, dead, and lifeless hands.
Re: Your Favorite TV Themes!
Perhaps a bit later than most l rather liked the theme from the short lived Untouchables series from the 90s.
Airwolf was a favorite of mine growing up.
Then there was Street Hawk.
Also liked the one from Hardcastle and McCormick though I didn't really watch it.

Re: Your Favorite TV Themes!
Talk about the Doomsday Clock.
Classic. It was a Top 40 hit when I was a kid.
That could be a 24th-century Trek theme.Lupine wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 1:48 pmPerhaps a bit later than most l rather liked the theme from the short lived Untouchables series from the 90s.
That certainly does its job of making me want to watch the show.Airwolf was a favorite of mine growing up.
The one with the narration reminded me of this classic:
Six-Million-Dollar Man
Re: Your Favorite TV Themes!
Funnily enough the score was written by Joel Goldsmith, the son of Jerry Goldsmith who did the theme for many a Star Treks.RJDiogenes wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 9:17 pmThat could be a 24th-century Trek theme.Lupine wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 1:48 pmPerhaps a bit later than most l rather liked the theme from the short lived Untouchables series from the 90s.

I'm also getting the restricted message, but Lupy's alternative worked. That's pretty cool. What era was that?Madeliaette wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 12:03 pmThe Onedin Line - i used to watch this as my ancestors are seafaring peeps...

Ah, another favorite. I've recently been watching episodes on Saturday morning with my Mother, particularly the ones with Dr Loveless. I love Dr Loveless.

Re: Your Favorite TV Themes!
Then there is The A-Team. Not quite as enamored with the season 5 synth-fest.
And back in the day I liked the one from Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

Classic TV Theme: Mary Tyler Moore
There are several versions of this theme to choose from as the opening visuals changed from season to season. Speaking of which, remember when MTM, Bob Newhart, and M*A*S*H ruled Saturday Night television?
The Bob Newhart Show (1972) Opening Sequence
MASH 4077 opening theme

All the comedies remind me of another comedy classic from my youth: Love, American Style.
