Mark's Caffeine Cafe - Volume 5
"Overture, curtain lights...."
Before we begin our first night in our new venue, let's start by thanking our previous guests, Def Leppard, for their earsplitting performance. Gentlemen, please have a seat at your reserved table in the VIP corner and our star waitress will be out in a moment with your complimentary dinner-- just don't eat too fast or you'll be bringin' on the heartburn.
And now let's inaugurate our new club with a new guest, that famous pioneer of Freestyle Pop Rap, or something, who answers to the name of MC Hammer. Yes, it's Hammer Time!

Yeah, I remember that he used to be all over the place back in the 80s and early 90s.

Never listened to too much Hip Hop, but I do remember that one.

Yeah, I never liked either Rap or Hip Hop, which makes it hard to remember which ones Mark liked. Most of them sound pretty much the same to me.

Yeah, it's really hard to tell. Rap is kind of like Irish music: You've heard two, you've heard them all.

A bit of a mass-sampling session there.

Sampling is his middle name.
This one says Glen Goldsmith featuring MC Hammer. MC Hammer's page says MC Hammer featuring Glen Goldsmith. There's seems to be some disagreement.

^^
And here's his biggest and most ironically titled hit. Best video, too.

Yeah, that's the one that put him on the map... and drew the ire of Rick James. Probably his most popular.

And now for something completely different, yet equally plagiaristic.
