Re: Baseball
Sox won last night. They come back to Boston with a 3 game to 2 game lead in the Series.

Good. They could use the good karma. I've got my fingers crossed.....kind of hard to type that way, but I can adapt.

Maybe it's time for a new habit.
Re: Baseball
And the Cleveland Indians are in the World Series! Just Saying.
It's been 19 years since our last appearance, and my husband has never forgiven Jose Mesa for screwing up the last pitch of the final game.
Thank goodness our basketball team broke the Vleveland curse (or was it the Lake Erie Monsters hockey team? hmmm). We are going to win this thing!

Good luck!
Re: Baseball
I just hope I can beat the traffic out of downtown after work, today. There is also a Cavs game. Cleveland is going to be the place to be, tonight.

My interest in the Old Ball Game has awakened. I always chat with folks wearing I Live in California, But I'm a Buckeye at Heart teeshirts and the various Cleveland teams, and they'll be out in droves for this!

This town is going to be nuts! People took off from work for this, and the game isn't until 8:08pm. There was a parking attendant, guarding the parking garage at my work. They were only allowing people with a pass to park there (I have one). The Muni Lot is charging $50 for today. There are t-shirt stands for both Cavs and Indians on the corners....even in some of the seedier neighborhoods. Standing room only tickets are $800. I wonder how many celebrities are in town....

^^ Wow.
Cool. We used to have tee shirts around here that said OFD-- "Originally From Dorchester"-- which is my hometown. I haven't seen any in a while, though.emma glitch wrote:I always chat with folks wearing I Live in California, But I'm a Buckeye at Heart teeshirts
