NCAA Sports
My favorite college team - University of New Hampshire - opens it's football season this weekend. They're playing Army!!! And it's on ESPN!!!
A lot of 1-AA teams are playing 1-A teams at least once a year. It's even better if it's on TV - brings in big bucks for the school's sports programs.
And I know it's not 1-AA anymore...I just forget what it's called now...

Ohio State lost.

UNH won over Dartmouth College. Since Dartmouth is in NH also, their yearly game is now been dubbed (officially) "The Granite Bowl". (Granite Bowl - Granite State....)...

UNH won against Northeastern today. Ruined their homecoming. Sort of makes up for losing last week at our own homecoming.

OK - I'm the only one posting here. I'm missing scottydog as he at least understands my passion for a I-AA school.
Anyway, UNH won against Maine today and made it to the NCAA playoffs. For I-AA schools it's different than the big guys.

My local school, UNH won in the first round of playoffs. They go to the quarter finals this weekend. Against Northern Iowa. We've played them in the playoffs a number of times in the past few years.

And we last to them - just like every other time we've played them. 37-35
Good luck to Scottydog's Richmond Spiders. They play Northern Iowa next week.

My University of New Hampshire won the game against arch rival Maine, won the North Division of the CAA Conference and made the playoffs for the FCS (what I still call Division ! - AA).
